Description of Work
The installation of ninety (101) Category-6 350Mhz data cables to existing network faceplates in Alumni House.
Our Scope of Work was to:
- Install one (1) Category-6 350Mhz cable to each faceplate using existing raceway to ninty (101) existing network faceplates.
- Install one (1) 1-port surface mount box to existing MARK 1 handy box.
- Install three (3) 48 port Cateogory 6 patch panels and three (3) front/back horizontal wire managers to existing rack in SER (satellite equipment room) located on 1st floor.
- Terminate, test and label per CWRUnet standards. Faceplate label showing the position of data ports and faceplate number will be provided by CWRU.
- All cables will be installed and supported in accordance with EIA/TIA standards for low voltage communications wiring. Faceplate/ surface boxes and patch panels will be labeled with machine generated labels. All fire wall and floor penetrations will be sleeved with EMT conduit and fire stopped according to building code. Printed test results available after project completion.
