Description of Work
Performed SOW to provide upgrade network cabling solution for Fraternity Houses
Our Scope of Work Included:
- Closet build-out: fourteen (14) 48-port cat-5E patch panels and fourteen (14) front/back horizontal wire managers.
- One (1) cat-5E horizontal cable to each Dorm room, six hundred and thirty-four (634) total.
- One (1) MARK V faceplate assembly (634) with (1) multi-media faceplate (MMO), (2) mini-mod MMO side panels, (4) adapter plates, (2) cat-5e, (1) f-connector module, (1) multi-mode ST adapter plate, (1) single-mode ST adapter plate and (7) blank inserts.Alternative solution includes item 1 & 2 above and the following:
- One (1) 1-port surface mount box with one (1) blank insert installed to existing MARK I 6”x6” metal handy box (634). See diagram for assembly design.
- Installation is based on utilizing existing various size riser conduits from server room to access panels on each floor. Conduits currently have cables installed in them, but there is enough room for new cabling to be installed. Cable installation to individual dorm rooms will utilize existing metal surface mount raceway where applicable.
