CWRU – Moves, Adds, and Changes for Media Vision

Description of Work

Mac Installation & Consulting,  provided CWRU with the installation of thirty (30) category-5e data cables for the School of Medicine Building Media Vision Department cabling project.

Our Scope of Work Included:

Area Office 60C, 60P, 60D, 60L, 60K, 60E, 60F, 60W, 60G and 60H:

1. Install ten (10) triple cat-5e data user outlets, consisting of one (1) 4-port flush mount faceplate, one (1) MPLS wall frame, three (3) cat-5e modular jacks and one (1) blank insert.  All cat-5e cables will originate from 1st floor Server room #126-03 at existing cat-5e patch panel and terminate at individual rooms on 1st floor at faceplate location.
2. Provide thirty (30) 9ft and 15ft cat-5e patch cords.
3. Cable path will utilize J-hook style cable support.
4. All cables will be installed and supported in accordance with EIA/TIA standards for low voltage communications wiring.  Faceplate/ surface boxes and patch panels will be labeled with machine generated labels. All fire wall and floor penetrations will be sleeved with EMT conduit and fire stopped according to building code. Printed test results available after project completion.
